In This Issue

My number one A.I. tool changed. I was a diehard Claude girlie. Then the evidence changed.

Adaptability is the advantage. The tool can change because your context can travel.

Three open doors. A remote A.I. discovery role paying up to $279,793, a practical A.I. stage, and a $5,000 small-business grant.

From the Trail

If you would’ve told me in June, or even a month ago, that ChatGPT would be my number one A.I. tool again over Claude, I would’ve thought you were on something.

I was a diehard Claude girlie. But in the world of A.I., things move FAST. When I say A.I. moves at the speed of daily, I mean it.

ChatGPT is where I completed the book. I started the initial version in Claude. I’m now paying $200/month for the ChatGPT Pro plan, and I moved Claude down from the $200 Max plan to the $20 plan.

Let me be clear: both tools are amazing. I still use both every day. My A.I. Blog Employee and multilingual podcast distribution workflow run on Claude. I have started writing the podcast scripts in ChatGPT. It’s all relative.

I’ve found it much simpler to choose one core A.I. system, then use the other models and labs for the jobs they do best. Right now, ChatGPT Work is that core system, and 5.6 Sol is the premier model I use there in the desktop app. Claude and the other tools support specific parts of the work.

Then there’s ChatGPT Sites, which launched in public beta a little over a month ago. It turns a prompt or compatible project into a hosted website, web app, or game.

The persistent memory, the ability for the A.I. to carry useful context forward from what happened across chats, is chef’s kiss. 🤌🏾

And for me, ChatGPT Work’s workflow feels more intuitive. When I point out the context and correct something, it adjusts more consistently to what I actually said. Since Opus 5, Claude just hasn’t felt as intuitive to me in the same way.

That’s my experience, not a universal ranking.

The durable lesson isn’t that ChatGPT won.

Own your context. Rent the tool.

When my preference changed, I didn’t have to rebuild my business inside a new system. It took part of a day to reconfigure my Business Brain and keep working.

To be fair, I was already using both tools every day. This is more than 600 days of daily A.I. practice. It didn’t happen overnight.

But this is why you’re reading this newsletter. A month from now, the answer could change again. I’ll be ready anyway.

The Main Thing

Adaptability is the advantage

I was sitting in a keynote about A.I. adoption. The speaker named the resistance organizations are seeing, including workers’ fear that A.I. could put them out of a job.

Then the conversation shifted to the skills employees will need to thrive: adaptability, communication, collaboration, judgment.

This week’s podcast episode said you do not need to pick the one perfect A.I. company first. Start with your world. The deeper reason is this: adaptability is the advantage.

The advantage is not choosing ChatGPT over Claude. It is being able to change when the evidence changes without losing the way I think, the standard I hold, or the work I am trying to do.

Adaptability isn’t only how you survive; it’s how you thrive.

And this isn’t just my opinion. Employers are already putting resilience, flexibility, communication, strategic thinking, and adaptability near the top of what they need. The World Economic Forum and LinkedIn are seeing it in their skills data. The International Labour Organization says most jobs exposed to generative A.I. are more likely to change than disappear because they still need human input.

The barrier is moving from Can you make the computer do it? to Can you decide what should be done, direct it well, and know whether the result is useful?

That is judgment. Storytelling. Communication. Collaboration. Lived experience. Travel. Conversations. Emotion. The journeys that make up a life. That is what living is for.

A.I. has access to more language than I can comprehend. But I am not ChatGPT or Claude, and they are not me. These are different kinds of intelligence. My advantage is not competing with the machine at being the machine. It is using what it can do without giving away what my life has taught me.

But my lived experiences and insights are why most of you read this newsletter.

Every person you meet knows at least ten things you don’t know you don’t know. Across more than eight billion people, that’s at least 80 billion things you don’t know you don’t know. And think about language. There’s at least 1 trillion things you don’t know you don’t know. Meaning growth should be your default.

Context Training is how adaptability stays grounded. Your foundation carries what is true about you and the work. Your Skills carry how repeated jobs should be done. Your prompt carries what you need today. The tool can change because your context can travel.

One thing to do today: Try ChatGPT Sites. Give it a decision you make more than once, the criteria you use, and an example of what good looks like. Ask it to build a simple tool that walks someone through the decision. You’re not testing whether it can make a pretty page. You’re testing whether your context can become something useful.
